## Description

IRIU is an urban innovation institute that helps cities, regional county municipalities (MRCs), public bodies and territorial organizations anticipate challenges, make informed decisions and turn complex issues into practical strategies and projects. Its work spans strategic planning, decision-support, responsible artificial intelligence, data governance, applied research and climate adaptation.

Through its Atelier services, IRIU offers four pathways: La Boussole supports the design and implementation of plans, policies and projects; Le Phare develops indicators, scenarios and decision tools, including responsible AI solutions; Le Pôle helps organizations make data reliable, accessible and useful through ethical, sovereign governance; and L’Agora brings municipalities, researchers and partners together in collaborative project communities. IRIU also provides a 90-day data-readiness offer, including a maturity assessment, data mapping and a prioritized roadmap.

Its initiatives include the Pôle de données fédérées, designed to connect and organize data while preserving holders’ control, and VILLE_IA, a sovereign cloud platform that helps cities and MRCs assess climate risks and prioritize action. IRIU emphasizes co-design, responsible innovation and lasting local capabilities.
