## Description

易思词典 (IsDict) is an open-source English–Chinese dictionary designed for English learners. It brings together vocabulary, meanings, word forms, examples, pronunciations, audio, and etymological information from multiple reference and learning resources. Its main source is Wiktionary/Kaikki, complemented by ECDICT Chinese translations and Collins star signals. The dictionary also incorporates learning-level and curriculum information from CEFR-J, Octanove, Oxford 3000/5000, CET-4/6, and school materials, helping users explore vocabulary across proficiency levels and study contexts. Open English WordNet contributes semantic relationships, including synonyms, antonyms, and broader or narrower terms, while FrequencyWords provides English frequency rankings. The site reports coverage of approximately 1.458 million entries and phrases, 1.746 million senses, and 1.505 million word forms, supporting searches by alternate forms as well as headwords. It also presents selected vocabulary entries with Chinese definitions and parts of speech. IsDict’s code is released under the MIT License; dictionary data remains subject to the licenses of its original sources.
