## Description

Ishin Ryu Ju Jitsu is a martial arts organisation that has taught Ju Jitsu since 1990, helping students develop practical self-defence skills for real-life situations. Its training emphasises prompt, efficient and effective responses, with techniques for dealing with strikes, grabs, holds and weapons. The organisation offers Japanese Ju Jitsu classes for children and adults, welcoming beginners and experienced practitioners of all ages in a safe and inclusive environment.

Children’s classes focus on confidence, discipline, respect, resilience and self-protection, including skills to help prevent bullying. Adult training combines practical self-defence with physical fitness and mental development, building confidence, perseverance and focus. Instruction is led by Soke Kevin Pell, 10th Dan, and experienced instructors; the site notes that the organisation’s techniques are taught to military, police and close protection units.

Ishin Ryu runs clubs across Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Bedfordshire and Suffolk, with classes listed in locations including Borehamwood, Bushey and Watford, Brandon, Caston, Carbrooke, Dereham, Leighton Buzzard, Thetford, Tring and Watton. Prospective students can book a free trial class to experience the training.
