Island House is a trusted community hub located on the Isle of Dogs in Tower Hamlets, offering a range of free services to the local community and the wider area. With over 50 years of experience, we provide facilities and services for partner tenants, local residents, and other user groups. In an area with high levels of deprivation, our aim is to address the emotional, physical, social, and spiritual needs of all individuals, regardless of their faith or background.

We work to identify gaps in service provision and form partnerships to extend our impact, building a strong and healthy community. Our services are delivered through three community-focused themes. The Community Training theme includes language, pre-employment, and computer training for disadvantaged individuals, particularly non-English speaking BME women.

Our Community Health theme offers various activities to improve mental and physical wellbeing, such as mindfulness and exercise classes, as well as emergency food bags. Lastly, our Community Hub provides a base for partner tenants, regular community activities, and other community groups. At Island House, our motto is Supporting our community for over 50 years.
