## Description

The Island House is a family-owned waterfront events venue on a secluded 55-acre private island along the Stono River, a short drive from downtown Charleston, South Carolina. Family owned and operated since 2008, the venue specializes in weddings, offering couples a private Lowcountry setting with river views, sunsets, a small marina, and space for waterfront ceremonies and photographs. The house is available for brides to get ready, while the property provides privacy and security for special occasions.

The venue also welcomes birthday parties, fundraisers, oyster roasts, rehearsal dinners, family reunions, and other private events. Included amenities feature a 40-by-80-foot tent with a smooth concrete floor, chandeliers, ceiling fans, and perimeter lighting. The Island House supplies round tables, cocktail tables, and 125 padded chairs, and arranges the tables according to each event’s layout. The grounds are reserved for the event day, with vendor access from 9 a.m. Packages provide five hours for a ceremony and/or reception.
