## Description

Islands & Seas is an organization focused on bringing science, adventure, and education together to support conservation in distinctive natural environments. Its work centers on the meeting points of land and water, including islands, seas, riverbanks, and other ecosystems that sustain plants, animals, and people. The organization is building a network of independent research stations where people can contribute to the study and conservation of valuable natural resources.

Islands & Seas also runs Science + Surf institutes, offering short courses that introduce participants to local ecosystems and help them identify plants and animals. Participants can assist with ongoing research and take part in service projects, combining practical learning with direct involvement in conservation. The organization invites people to share places they believe deserve greater attention from the scientific and conservation communities and encourages them to start a conversation about their interests.

Through its projects and events, Islands & Seas aims to create opportunities for discovery and meaningful action.
