Its researchers study social theory and methodology, inequality, social structure and mobility, civil society, public attitudes, economic and cultural practices, digitalization, and social adaptation during emergencies. Recent research has examined the social effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, building on earlier work about the Chornobyl disaster and post-Soviet transformation. The Institute undertakes departmental research as well as long-term national and international projects, including public opinion monitoring and participation in international research initiatives. It uses contemporary methods and software to collect, process, and analyze sociological information, and maintains a research data bank supporting comparative analysis. Its scholarly output includes monographs, books, textbooks, journals, analytical materials, and popular science publications. The Institute also provides postgraduate and doctoral training in sociology. Its PhD program supports research into contemporary sociological questions and issues affecting Ukrainian society, while its specialized academic council oversees doctoral dissertation defenses. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Social Sciences _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/InstituteofSociology) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idFdCWuGq4/w/180/h/180/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790397583801) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idFdCWuGq4/w/500/h/500/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790397583974) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | East Bay | #445890 | accent | | Tundora | #444444 | dark | | Sail | #b3d1fa | light | ## Fonts - var(--bs-font-sans-serif) — asset _(custom)_ - var(--bs-font-sans-serif) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
