Israeli-American Civic Action Network (ICAN) is a dynamic brand that brings together Israeli and American grassroots activists and leaders to drive positive change for a better America, a more secure Israel, and a stronger U.S.-Israel alliance. ICAN, established in 2018, focuses on empowering Israelis living in America and bridging the gap between American policymakers and Israel. What sets ICAN apart is its unique approach of joining Israeli immigrants with American allies to lead impactful advocacy initiatives. By providing comprehensive civic education and fostering a genuine connection to their homeland, Israelis living in America become a strategic asset in securing the special alliance between the U.S. ICAN is engaged in both domestic and foreign policy arenas, working with policymakers at all levels of government to ensure that their voice is heard and their agenda is advanced. Through civic education, advocacy efforts, and holding elected officials accountable in elections, ICAN empowers its activists to make a real impact. With its founding state committees and active advocates, ICAN has already achieved significant milestones, including passing 48 bills and local initiatives strengthening the U.S.-Israel alliance, combating BDS, and fighting antisemitism. Its influence spans across 50 states, with engaged advocates working with city, state, and federal officials. Currently active in four states - California, Nevada, Washington, and Massachusetts - ICAN also supports initiatives in an additional 15 states.
