## Description

The International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) was established on March 22, 1966, in Seoul, South Korea, by General Choi Hong Hi, who was instrumental in developing and promoting the martial art of Taekwon-Do. ITF is dedicated to advancing the practice and understanding of Taekwon-Do worldwide. The federation provides a structured environment for training and competition, encompassing various programs such as children’s development, coach education, and tournament regulation. ITF oversees international competitions, including world championships, and emphasizes ethical practices through its anti-doping initiatives and medical education courses. With a commitment to harmony and inclusion, ITF operates regional development teams across continents, aiming to foster the sport's growth in diverse communities. Additionally, the federation honors the legacy of its founders and champions through exhibitions like the Hall of Fame. ITF serves both aspiring martial artists and experienced practitioners by offering comprehensive resources and a supportive network to enhance their Taekwon-Do journey.
