## Description

The Ithaca Adult Hockey Association (IAHA) is a recreational adult hockey organization serving players in Ithaca, New York. Formed in 1999 by players from the Cass Park and Rink leagues, it aims to provide a healthy, enjoyable league experience while supporting fair competition, sportsmanship, and participation across skill levels. IAHA administers a B/C division for intermediate and novice players, generally ranging from low B to D skill levels. Players new to the league must attend a preseason assessment game; those with highly competitive hockey experience are directed to the A/B division organized by the Community Recreation Center.

The B/C season typically runs from mid-October through mid-February, with playoffs continuing into mid-March. Teams play 26 regular-season games and at least two playoff games. The board forms teams, while a goalie coordinator assigns goaltenders from a shared pool. IAHA also provides league information, rules, schedules, rosters, and guidance for substitutes and prospective players. Registration can fill quickly, and a wait list is used when team spots are full.
