## Description

The International Union of Economists, established in 1991, aims to promote global economic and social progress. Experts from 48 countries participate in its activities, including leading economists, scholars, and public figures. As one of only 142 NGOs with Consultative Status at the UN, the Union is engaged in scientific research, expert analysis, informational publishing, and educational activities. By fostering international collaboration, it strengthens national expertise and contributes to sustainable development dialogue. The Union hosts the annual "World Economic Situation and Prospects" and "Trade and Development Reports" presentations worldwide. With a focus on economic development, the Union convenes global Assemblies to address key economic trends and policy impacts. The Union's dedication to fostering dialogue and driving sustainable development has garnered praise from UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, highlighting its vital role in shaping a sustainable future for all.
