## Description

The Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) is the national organization dedicated to governing and developing track and field in Japan. It supports the sport from grassroots participation and youth development through elite competition, while organizing national teams and promoting Japanese athletes at international events. Its work spans athlete and coach development, competition standards, facilities, sports science, medical support, and anti-doping initiatives.

JAAF organizes and supports a broad calendar of events, including the Japan Athletics Championships, relay festivals, age-group championships, race-walking competitions, road races, and other domestic meets. It also shares schedules, results, rankings, Japanese records, athlete profiles, news, photographs, and video coverage. For athletes and coaches, the organization provides development programs, guidance, coaching qualifications, rules, handbooks, and information about registration and membership. Fans can follow Team Japan, learn about representative athletes and major championships, and access ticketing information for selected events. JAAF also offers publications, a virtual athletics museum, and community programs, including volunteer opportunities and social contribution initiatives.
