Jacari is an award-winning brand with a mission to provide free tutoring and extracurricular activities for migrant, asylum-seeking, and refugee children in Bristol and Oxford who have English as an Additional Language (EAL) and are struggling at school. With a focus on empowering these children, Jacari offers personalized support to help them improve their English proficiency and build confidence. Through their dedicated volunteers, Jacari helps children like 9-year old Kateryna from Ukraine, who arrived in Bristol without any English language skills.

Paired with a Russian-speaking volunteer, Kateryna engages in word association and game-based learning activities, while also unleashing her creativity through crafts. These tutoring sessions not only assist her with language skills but also provide an opportunity to explore the English language through her favorite characters. As an established charity, Jacari has received support from the National Lottery and continuously fundraises to further their impactful initiatives.
