## Description

GloShield® is an award-winning operating-room safety solution developed by Jackson Medical, an American-owned and operated company based in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Designed to reduce the risk of fires and burns associated with fiber-optic light cables, it helps healthcare teams address preventable hazards and protect patients and staff during surgery. The product fits onto existing light cables, making implementation straightforward, and combines silicone construction for reliable rebound with a ceramic heat shield that provides protective coverage. It is designed to stay in place during procedures and aligns with Joint Commission and AORN recommendations.

Jackson Medical presents GloShield as a practical way to help prevent thermal injuries and operating-room fires, which can result from light cables. The company supports evaluation and adoption with product demonstrations, free samples, a brochure, and educational resources, including research, whitepapers, webinars, videos, and reference documents. Surgical staff testimonials highlight its intuitive design and ease of use across cases requiring fiber-optic lights.
