## Description

Jacques Duault is a sculptor specializing in marble, creating works that explore the boundary between natural inspiration and abstraction. His approach moves away from literal representation: he draws on nature without copying it, shaping organic forms into simple, independent volumes. The sculptures are designed to be experienced from every side, changing in appearance while retaining a sense of balance and movement.

Duault works directly in stone, without sketches or models, confronting the weight and hardness of marble as he searches for forms that feel light and alive. His process is described as demanding and instinctive, transforming the material’s roughness into shapes that suggest softness and sensuality. Careful polishing removes visible traces of the stone’s initial brutality, creating a smooth, almost skin-like surface that reveals the marble’s inner character and makes the material an active partner in each work.

His sculpture collections include fish, birds, plant forms, and monumental pieces. The website also presents sculptures through 360-degree views, allowing visitors to explore their changing contours.
