## Description

Established in 1990, Jade Tree is an independent record label that has made a lasting impact in the music industry. Founded by Tim Owen and Darren Walters, childhood friends with a passion for music, Jade Tree initially catered to the punk scene. Despite being relatively unknown during its early years, the label offered a diverse range of artists, bridging the gap between hardcore and alternative rock. Jade Tree gained recognition when they signed the influential band Swiz, and their momentum started to build. In 1994, a significant turning point occurred with the release of Lifetime's album Hello Bastards, marking the beginning of a string of successful releases. This was quickly followed by The Promise Ring, whose album Nothing Feels Good sparked a musical movement. Jade Tree has since signed notable bands like Joan Of Arc, Kid Dynamite, and Jets To Brazil. With a commitment to staying true to their vision, Jade Tree remains a respected force in the independent music scene.
