Jadiel Dowlin Lewis is a renowned Black Latino Emmy-nominated actor, filmmaker, and storyteller. With over a decade of experience in front of the camera, Jadiel has developed a passion for crafting high-concept cautionary tales. Recognized as one of Canada's Rising Stars by The Hollywood Reporter and listed among Canada's Top 10 Talent to Watch by Playback, Jadiel has established himself as a rising force in the entertainment industry.

Driven by the influence of genre actor/filmmakers like Michael B. Jordan and John Krasinski, Jadiel specializes in creating and starring in entertaining yet enlightening sci-fi horror media through his production company, Istmo Productions. Inspired by the belief that art should both comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable, Jadiel's mission is to produce content that resonates with audiences.

In 2022, Jadiel secured the prestigious $750,000 Rogers-BSO Development fund for his original sci-fi comedy TV series. Additionally, his autobiographical documentary, The Last Son of Panama, received a World Premiere at the Toronto Black Film Festival, followed by screenings in Halifax, Ottawa, Calgary, and Montreal. A trailblazer among his peers, Jadiel was the first and youngest board member on the Youth Media Alliance.
