## Description

Jake April is a motivational speaker, disability advocate, writer, and TEDx speaker whose work centers on resilience, independence, and the stories that shape us. A master’s graduate and award-winning professional with experience across multiple industries, he has also commentated for the New York Islanders and contributed poetry to several best-selling books. Living with cerebral palsy has informed his perspective and strengthened his commitment to challenging assumptions about what people can achieve.

Through speaking engagements, Jake shares personal experiences and practical ideas with audiences including students, parents, and community groups. His talks address overcoming first impressions, finding a personal path, building self-awareness and accountability, and giving young people room to develop independence. Drawing on his own journey through education, transition programs, and living on his own, he encourages audiences to recognize possibility in themselves and others.

Jake’s website features his stories, testimonials, resume, and TEDx talk, and provides information for booking him to speak.
