## Description

Jakubák is a cultural festival and events venue based on Jakubské Square in central Brno, beside the Church of St. James. Set among the square’s lively cafés and other local businesses, it brings music and community events into the heart of the city. Its program features live concerts across genres, DJ sets, dance performances, family activities and special cultural events, with appearances by Czech and international artists. The festival also hosts partner events, including Brasil Fest Brno and Brno živě, and provides a stage for projects such as the fencing exhibition led by Alex Choupenitch. Seasonal highlights include student concerts, charity-linked performances and Jakubák Open, a traditional marbles tournament marking the start of the theatre season with Bolek Polívka and performers from Brno theatres. Jakubák publishes its current schedule and information about past festival editions, alongside a gallery and contact details. By combining regular programming with visiting festivals and one-off performances, it offers residents and visitors an accessible way to experience live culture in an open city-square setting.
