James Scott Art is a renowned brand that encompasses a diverse range of artistic expressions, including paintings, films, drawings, and digital creations. With a background in visual arts, James Scott, the mastermind behind the brand, studied painting and theater design at the prestigious Slade School of Fine Art in London during the early 1960s. His passion for filmmaking and photography soon emerged, leading him to direct his first acclaimed movie, The Rocking Horse, while still a student.

Over the years, James merged his film expertise with his artistic roots, producing groundbreaking films focused on influential artists like David Hockney and Richard Hamilton. Notably, he co-founded the Berwick Street Film Collective, where he contributed to the creation of the controversial and politically charged documentary, Nightcleaners.
