## Description

James Jones & Sons Ltd is a sixth-generation family business and one of the UK’s largest timber processing groups, with operations across the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Employing more than 2,100 people across 33 sites, the company combines forestry, timber processing and distribution with a long-standing focus on innovation.

Its products serve construction, landscaping, agriculture and business customers. Seven UK sawmills produce British-grown sawn timber, including carcassing, fencing and palletwood. The company also manufactures JJI-Joists, engineered timber products used by major UK housebuilders, and offers round timber, harvesting and haulage services. Its pallets and packaging operations can manufacture up to 10 million new wooden pallets annually, while its repair division handles 25 million pallets a year.

Timber processing also generates co-products such as sawdust, woodchips, shavings and bark. Through its wider group, James Jones & Sons includes Hyne Timber and XLam in Australasia, as well as Taylormade & Kerr Timber. Across its activities, the business supplies timber solutions and services to customers in domestic and international markets.
