## Description

James Rodgers Clocks is an informational website devoted to James Rodgers Jr., a Scottish-born American clockmaker whose work helped mark the rhythm of New York life. It explores his biography, family history, craftsmanship, and surviving legacy, including clocks made for Trinity Church on Wall Street and the original Grand Central Station. Rodgers created the monumental Trinity Church clock, described on the site as once having the largest dial clock in America, as well as other notable timepieces. Although many of his creations have disappeared, the website preserves their stories and highlights Rodgers’ ingenuity and influence as a maker.

Visitors can explore dedicated sections on Rodgers’ biography and genealogy, learn about other clocks associated with him, and follow the restoration of the 1870 Regulator, one of his intricate creations. The restoration feature describes the effort to bring this mechanical clock back to life. The site also offers a detailed account of the creation of the Trinity Church clock, Rodgers’ best-known work.
