## Description

JarSprout is a free, ad-free chore and allowance app designed to help families with children ages 5 to 12 connect everyday jobs with saving. Parents set a monthly allowance amount, and the app assigns prices to chores so children can see what each task is worth. Kids check off completed jobs, while a parent reviews and locks the day to add earnings to the child’s Spend jar.

JarSprout records how allowance money is allocated but does not hold or transfer funds. Money stays wherever the family already keeps it, with no bank account, payment card, identity check, or fee required. When a child wants to buy something, they request approval in the app; the parent pays as usual, and the app updates the Spend balance. On the first of each month, a portion of earnings can move on the app’s ledger to a Grow jar, with the savings rate adjustable by the parent.

Children can track spending, savings, and goals, while parents manage jobs and purchases.
