# JARU ry - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `jarury.fi` ## Description Jyväskylän Akateemiset Reservinupseerit ry (JARU) is a politically independent, non-profit association supporting reservist activities and Finland’s national security. Founded in 1968, it primarily brings together students from the University of Jyväskylä and Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences. Membership is open regardless of gender or military rank, including those without a rank. JARU belongs to the Student Reserve Officers’ District (ORUP), through which its members are also part of the Finnish Reserve Officers’ Federation (RUL).
