Jasv is a non-political and non-profit brand that aims to foster better understanding and interaction between Japanese and Americans. As part of the Japan-America Society, it is dedicated to improving cross-cultural understanding and mutually beneficial interaction among individuals, families, businesses, and organizations in Vermont. With a history dating back to its establishment in 1983, Jasv boasts a membership of around 200 individuals, schools, and corporations.

The brand funds its activities through corporate and general membership dues, contributions, grants, admission fees, and fees for specific services. Jasv sponsors a range of engaging activities such as the Matsuri cultural festival, business and cultural presentations, demonstrations, language courses, and other programs. Additionally, the brand publishes a quarterly newsletter and offers referral, orientation, and translation services.

With its overall policy set by a democratically-elected Board of Directors, Jasv operates under the guidance of its president and executive committee, supported by dedicated volunteer staff and student interns
