Welcome to Jacksonville Classical Academy (JXC), a tuition-free public charter school located in Jacksonville, FL. Founded in 2018 by Ambassador John Rood (Ret), JXC offers a classical education model based on the traditions of the liberal arts and sciences, with a focus on moral character and civic virtue. We have two campuses: the Main campus near downtown Jacksonville and the East campus in Arlington.

At JXC, we provide students with a sound curriculum that cultivates virtuous living, civic responsibility, and a deep appreciation of the history of Western Civilization. Our goal is to preserve liberty and self-government in our community, state, and nation. As a publicly-funded charter school sponsored by Duval County Public Schools (DCPS), we offer classical education to all families in the community, regardless of socioeconomic status or prior academic performance.

Our Main campus serves kindergarten through 6th grade, with plans to expand to K4-12th grades. The East campus currently serves Kindergarten through 5th grade, with plans to expand to K4-8th grades. East campus students will attend 9th-12th grades at the Main campus.

At JXC, we follow a classical course sequence for high school students, which includes four years each of history, literature, mathematics, and science. In addition, we offer a comprehensive curriculum in the humanities, science, and the arts, all grounded in research-based programs.
