About
Description
The Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) is a local, independent, 501c3 non-profit organization located in Jacksonville, Florida. With a mission to provide care, comfort, and compassion to animals in need, JHS is dedicated to ending the killing of abandoned and orphaned shelter animals. Each year, they care for nearly 9,000 dogs and cats, offering a wide range of services to the community.
These services include pet adoption, support for pet owners, resources for lost and found animals, low-cost veterinary care, public training classes, and youth programs. JHS is proud to be a no-kill organization since 2005 and has played a significant role in making Jacksonville a no-kill city. They receive no government funding and rely solely on the support of generous individuals like you.
By making a donation, you can help provide compassionate care to pets and the people who love them. JHS also actively engages the community through programs such as humane education for children, volunteer opportunities for veterans, and a mobile veterinary clinic for under-resourced communities. Visit JHS's Beach Boulevard Adoption, Education & Pet Help Center to meet their adorable adoptable pets.
They are open on weekdays from 12 p. m. Follow JHS on social media to stay updated on their work and upcoming events.
By supporting JHS, you're joining their mission to create a more compassionate and humane world for animals
