## Description

Jazzmyn Banks is a writer, director, comedienne, and creator whose work draws on her experiences balancing comedy, filmmaking, motherhood, and life as a wheelchair user. Her performances and projects explore disability, public perceptions, relationships, and her bicultural upbringing, often using humor to invite audiences to reconsider familiar assumptions.

Banks performs stand-up, including appearances at Misbehavin’ Mondays at Gotham Comedy Club, and shares advice and commentary on writing, entertainment, disability, and current issues. Her website also features videos, interviews, and updates on her creative work. Projects include Be Your Art, Not Your Condition, a documentary in production that focuses on people living with chronic conditions; Writer’s Block, a feature-length comedy about two people pursuing relationships for the wrong reasons; and Bed of Roses, a short film about a polygamous couple in marriage counseling. She has also interviewed stars at a Broadway Cares event and offers reflections on overcoming writer’s block. Through comedy, film, writing, and online content, Banks presents a personal, candid perspective on creativity and everyday life.
