Description
Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) is a non-profit organization that aims to inspire conversations about contemporary issues through the arts. Founded in 2006 by Executive Producer Olga Levina, an immigrant from Belarus, JCTC produces and presents thought-provoking performances that highlight social justice and human rights. The center provides a platform for diverse artistic voices to be heard, promoting greater understanding and respect within communities.
JCTC offers a range of programs, including the Voices International Theatre Festival, Stories of Greenville, and original works. Additionally, they provide youth arts education, artist support, and community outreach initiatives. With over 9,100 individuals engaged in their programs in 2021 and collaborations with more than 400 artists, JCTC is dedicated to fostering a vibrant arts scene while addressing the pressing issues of our time.
With their main venue, White Eagle Hall, and the adjacent Merseles Studios, JCTC presents performances from local, regional, and international artists, enhancing the quality of life in Jersey City
