## Description

J.D. McCarty Center, located in Norman, OK, is a leading brand dedicated to providing comprehensive rehabilitative care to children in Oklahoma with developmental disabilities. With a mission to support children from birth to age 21, the center offers an intensive therapy program and a range of specialized services. Established in 1946 by the 40 et 8 of Oklahoma, a veterans' organization, the center initially focused on providing treatment for children with cerebral palsy. Over the years, they expanded their services to cater to children with various developmental disabilities. Their first facility was based in Norman's former U.S. Navy South Base, and since then, the center has grown and relocated to its current 80-acre campus. The center is named after J.D. McCarty, a state legislator who played a crucial role in its expansion and establishment as a state agency in 1948. Governed by the Cerebral Palsy Commission, the center's board of directors comprises members appointed by the governor of Oklahoma. J.D. McCarty Center is known for its commitment to providing high-quality care, and their dedication is evident in their evolution and the positive impact they have made on the lives of countless children with developmental disabilities.
