## Description

JEF is a Belgian organisation dedicated to helping children and young people discover, enjoy and create film and games. It brings engaging, high-quality youth films to cinemas, schools and homes, and makes it easier for families, educators and youth organisations to find or present suitable content. JEF also organises a festival, including the Jeugdfilmfestival Antwerpen, and invites young audiences to explore new media and take part in filmmaking and other creative activities.

Its offerings include film screenings and events, innovative workshops for schools, libraries, cultural centres and youth groups, and free educational resources for teachers. Children and young people can also get involved as jury members, programme selectors or volunteers. Featured activities range from film concerts with live piano accompaniment to classroom resources combining virtual reality with independent learning. JEF supports educators with programmes, training and materials, while its website shares film recommendations, news and practical guidance on topics such as responsible gaming. Through these services, JEF aims to broaden young people’s perspectives and encourage experimentation and creativity.
