## Description

JerseyOutages is an independent New Jersey project that brings public power outage information from PSE&G, JCP&L, Atlantic City Electric, and Rockland Electric together on one live map. Residents can use the service to check outages and power restorations in their town, view outage totals by municipality, and explore outage and storm history. The map includes reported outages and restorations, while archive tools help users review past events and municipal outage records.

JerseyOutages reads data from the utilities’ public outage feeds on a 10-minute cycle. Its outage and restoration lists display events affecting at least 20 customers for privacy; smaller events are still included in totals and shown on the map. Restoration times are inferred, and some historical totals are estimates based on outage markers. The site is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by the utilities, and it identifies utility names and trademarks as their owners’ property. JerseyOutages also invites questions, ideas, and comments by email.
