## Description

Jersey Rowing Club is an island rowing organisation with a history dating back to the early 1960s and an official founding in 1971. The club grew during a period of increasing interest in rowing, helped by the Sark to Jersey race, first held in 1967. Based at the Old Lifeboat Station at the bottom of Mount Bingham, it offers boat storage and direct access to the water.

The club organises a full calendar of coastal and bay races, including events of 8 to 15 kilometres and longer endurance challenges such as Gorey to Carteret, Sark to Jersey and the Round Jersey. It maintains close relationships with rowing clubs in Guernsey and France, and is considering adding the Herm weekend and Cherbourg regatta to its future programme.

Jersey Rowing Club supports participation through membership, training, youth and performance rowing, beach sprints, coaching and opportunities to try the sport. Members can access boat and club RIB bookings, race entries and equipment hire through its portal.
