## Description

Jeugdboekenmaand is an annual celebration dedicated to children's literature, coordinated by Iedereen Leest, that takes place from March 1 to March 31. The thematic focus for 2024 is "Sport & Play," which aims to encourage young readers to engage with literature that promotes active lifestyles and playfulness. This initiative highlights a curated selection of books divided by age groups, with recommendations that cater to various interests.

In addition to promoting exceptional books, Jeugdboekenmaand incorporates educational activities and community engagement, including events and collaborations with schools and libraries. Participants in the program are encouraged to take part in reading challenges, such as De Grote Leestraining, fostering a love for reading while recording impressive reading hours.

Looking ahead, the theme for Jeugdboekenmaand 2025 will focus on "Time," promising more exciting literature and activities. With support from Literatuur Vlaanderen and the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, Jeugdboekenmaand continues to inspire a new generation of readers through dynamic programming and engaging themes.
