## Description

The Jewish Genealogical Society of Toronto is a renowned brand that specializes in Jewish genealogical research. Established in 1985, it is one of the seven Jewish genealogical societies in Canada and a member of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies. The society's mission is three-fold: to stimulate interest in Jewish genealogical research, facilitate research at local and global levels, and provide a platform for fellowship and exchange among individuals passionate about Jewish genealogy. As a charitable organization, JGS Toronto offers various programs and major projects, including meetings, workshops, newsletters, e-mail communications, and guest lectures, to promote the exchange of knowledge and information. With the rise of genealogy on the Internet, the society aims to help its members navigate the abundance of online resources and archives available for research. Membership with the JGS of Toronto grants access to a supportive community of individuals fascinated by Jewish family history. Whether living in the greater Toronto area or connecting with researchers worldwide, members share their knowledge and experiences while learning from others. To join, fill out the membership form on the Become a Member page and embark on an exciting journey of discovering your Jewish roots.
