The Jesuit Historical Institute in Africa (JHIA) is dedicated to preserving the rich memory and promoting the historical knowledge of the Jesuit Order's contributions to the evangelization of Africa. Established in 2010 under the visionary guidance of Jesuit General Adolfo Nicolás, JHIA serves as a vital resource for scholars, historians, and the public interested in exploring Jesuit involvement across the continent. 

JHIA provides a wealth of resources, including an online catalog featuring processed materials from its main library and special collections, as well as the Africa Thesis Bank, which houses dissertations focusing on African histories, cultures, and religions.
