Description
Jill Price is a Canadian conceptual artist whose work delves into the complexities of the Anthropocene and the impact of materials on our landscapes. With a deep passion for environmentalism, Price not only explores these themes in her personal practice, but also in her curatorial projects. She is based in Ontario and operates under the name Jill Price Studios.
Price's artistic creations span a wide array of mediums and projects, including installations, textiles, drawings, and public art. Her minimal expressions aim to convey broad and ethical messages, with a focus on reducing waste and carefully considering the environmental impact of her art. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Price is currently completing a SSHRC PhD Research Fellowship at Queen's University.
She holds a BFA and BEd from Western University and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art Media and Design from OCAD University. She has received numerous awards and grants, recognizing her contributions to ecological research and creative writing.
