## Description

Jimmy Houston Art is the online studio and shop of artist Jimmy Houston, whose work combines fine art and cartoon characters in a distinctive style described as “Retro-Animation.” Recurring characters—including twin apes Rig and Rex, tough girl East, and tin man Apollos—feature in imaginative compositions that bring each canvas to life. The site presents a range of original artwork, including available paintings, current works, and pieces from past collections and series such as Noir, The Hand You’re Dealt, and Parable Project. Collectors can also browse prints, including artist proofs, signed and numbered editions, and mini prints. Beyond artwork, the shop offers apparel, stickers, patches, drinkware, seasonal merchandise, and puzzles. Houston also makes commissions, and the site shares studio notes, biographical information, and news about his work. A featured painting, The Mender, is described as a reflection on growth, repair, and renewal. The shop has also collaborated with Chuffed Puzzles to transform the painting Fathoms into a puzzle.
