## Description

Jimmy Jam BBQ Slam is an annual barbecue festival and competition held at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds in Elkton, Florida. Presented as the largest BBQ event in Northeast Florida, it brings together professional and backyard pitmasters, food vendors, retail vendors, sponsors, and visitors for a day centered on barbecue and community entertainment. The event features a KCBS-sanctioned BBQ competition, with categories including chicken, ribs, pulled pork, and brisket, alongside steak and People’s Choice contests. Guests can sample barbecue, chili, and chowder, and enjoy attractions such as a car show, chili cook-off, dog shows, live music, lumberjack shows, and a children’s zone with inflatables. The festival also offers event registration, volunteer opportunities, and information for vendors and competitors. Its website shares schedules, ticket details, competition results, galleries, and updates about upcoming events. The 2026 competition recognized Maya Jane BBQ Co. as Pro Grand Champion and Mike’s Backyard BBQ as Backyard Grand Champion. Jimmy Jam BBQ Slam combines food, competition, and family-friendly activities in a large-scale regional gathering.
