## Description

**Brand Description for the Jimmy V Classic**

The Jimmy V Classic is a premier basketball event celebrating collegiate athletics while supporting a noble cause. Established in honor of Jim Valvano, a beloved basketball coach and ESPN commentator, this event is part of the V Week initiative, which raises funds for cancer research through multiple ESPN platforms. The Classics feature thrilling matchups, including the Men's Classic on December 10, 2024, at Madison Square Garden in New York, showcasing teams like Miami, Tennessee, Michigan, and Arkansas. The Women's Classic follows on December 15, 2024, at the KFC Yum! Center, featuring a matchup between NC State and Louisville. Beyond the excitement of college basketball, the Jimmy V Classic highlights the impactful work of the V Foundation, which has funded over $310 million in cancer research grants. With a commitment to celebrating victories on and off the court, the Jimmy V Classic emphasizes the importance of community support in the fight against cancer. Please join us in accelerating Victory Over Cancer®.
