Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights is a charitable organization that supports survivors of human rights violations and defends basic freedoms. Our programs provide psychological health services, medical treatment, and other support services for survivors of psychological trauma, terrorism, domestic violence, and human rights abuses. In the United States, we support nine treatment centers and clinics for Yazidi women and families, a healing garden, and mobile teams assisting survivors in eleven refugee camps and internally displaced persons' settlements in Kurdistan Iraq and Syria.

Since 2005, our programs have provided support to over 100,000 trauma survivors and victims of human rights abuses in the region. We are guided by the core values of human dignity and promote respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms as outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Our mission is to create a democratic society that protects human dignity, where adults and children enjoy their rights to life and freedom, and citizens are free from torture and terrorism
