## Description

James Island Youth Soccer Club (JIYSC) and Lowcountry United Soccer Academy (LUSA) are youth soccer organizations serving the Charleston and Lowcountry communities of South Carolina. Founded in 1976, JIYSC is described as the state’s longest-standing youth soccer club. Together, the organizations aim to develop players and foster stronger communities through soccer, offering development pathways for aspiring athletes at different ages and levels.

Programs include Academy Select, Junior Academy, Foundations, Micro & Juniors, the Islands Soccer League, training and camps, and college advisory resources. Academy Select teams compete in a range of leagues: boys’ teams participate in MLS NEXT and the National Academy League, while girls’ teams compete in Girls Academy Aspire and the Development Player League. Select teams also play in statewide leagues. These opportunities support player development and enable competition at local, regional, and national levels. JIYSC and LUSA also provide coaching, events, tryouts, and access to fields and facilities.
