## Description

JKA Toulouse is a non-profit karate association founded in 2009 by black belts returning from an extended period of training in Japan. Approved by the French Ministry of Sports and affiliated with the French Karate Federation and France JKA, the association teaches Shotokan karate to children, teenagers and adults. Its approach aims to stay close to the practice found in Japanese dojos and universities, combining martial tradition with contemporary sport.

Training covers the three elements known as the “3 Ks”: kihon, the practice of fundamental techniques; kata, the study of formal sequences; and kumite, or sparring. Classes are adapted to different ages and levels and take place under the technical responsibility of state-qualified instructor Stéphane Ayax, supported by a team of qualified instructors. The teaching emphasizes respect for form and technique while also developing combat practice influenced by Japanese university karate. JKA Toulouse provides information for prospective members about courses, registration documents and family rates, and shares educational articles and dojo news through its website.
