## Description

Jeet Kune Do Legacy Academy offers Jeet Kune Do and practical self-defence training in Melbourne, with its headquarters in Maidstone and an affiliated school in Adelaide. The academy teaches Bruce Lee’s martial art in his direct lineage. Head instructor Sigung Ricardo Vargas is a second-generation instructor certified by Bruce Lee students Sifu Jerry Poteet and Sigung Richard Bustillo, bringing more than 30 years of practice to the school.

Group classes welcome beginners and are available to teens aged 14 and over and adults. Training covers awareness, distance, strikes, escapes, Jeet Kune Do foundations, and further study including Jun Fan Kickboxing, grappling, trapping, and wooden dummy work. The academy also provides women’s self-defence classes, a women-only workshop, and 60-minute private lessons tailored to individual goals. Students can follow a structured pathway from a 12-week beginner program through intermediate study and advanced private mentorship. Classes run Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings in Maidstone; private sessions are available by appointment.
