## Description

The Joshua Lynagh Foundation (JLF) is a UK charity focused on congenital heart disease (CHD) and the needs of children and families affected by it. Its mission is to help parents, medical professionals and local hospitals improve children’s lives through education, greater awareness, better access to knowledge and support for more extensive specialist equipment. The foundation highlights that almost eight in every 1,000 babies are born with CHD and raises concern that some hospitals, emergency response teams and medical professionals may be insufficiently equipped to respond to those affected.

JLF’s website brings together information for parents and professionals, including family stories such as Joshua’s mother’s and grandfather’s accounts. Its planned resources include CHD insights, professional guidance and lessons learned, which are marked as coming soon. The foundation also presents its work under the “Bridging the Gap” theme and invites people to make a difference. Based in Surbiton, JLF is registered as a charity in the United Kingdom.
