Joel began driving at Bemböle in 2017 and quickly made karting his main pursuit. Joel’s career has included titles in Finland’s Mini60 and OK-Junior classes, alongside victories and podium finishes in junior competitions. In 2023, he finished eighth at the FIA Karting World Championship after placing second overall in qualifying, and was named Finnish Karting Federation Driver of the Year. The following season, he became a factory driver for Tony Kart and competed in the Champions of the Future series, the European Championship and the OK-Junior World Championship.
