## Description

Johanne Kourie is a painter whose work draws on the movement and changing moods of nature. Especially drawn to shades of blue, she uses color to express emotion and create atmosphere and motion in her paintings. Waves, travelling clouds, and trees stirred by the breeze inspire her imagination, while nature’s calmer and more powerful moments shape her evolving artistic practice.

Through her paintings, Kourie invites visitors to step away from everyday life, relax, and explore an imaginative world. She sees each artwork as connected to a story, encouraging viewers to look closely and make their own journey through its colors and forms. Her website presents selected works and information about exhibitions, including a New York exhibition, and offers an online shop where visitors can browse and purchase art.

Kourie also offers workshops for people interested in learning and creative exploration. Visitors can find workshop details, read her blog, follow updates, and contact the artist through her website.
