## Description

JOIN good forces is a humanitarian organization working to support women, children and men in fragile communities affected by war and conflict. Now part of LM Norge, it has worked in the Democratic Republic of the Congo since 1994 and focuses its efforts in North Kivu, where political instability and displacement leave many people without reliable care.

In partnership with local organization Hope in Action, JOIN helps women affected by violence and children facing malnutrition. Its work includes providing medical treatment, trauma therapy and protection, as well as supporting the rebuilding and renovation of hospitals and clinics and supplying medical equipment. The organization also works on health, child welfare, community organizing and violence prevention, including fatherhood courses that encourage participants to see peacebuilding as beginning at home.

Local health workers are central to delivering assistance, often in difficult and dangerous conditions. JOIN raises funds through donations, including regular giving, to support its projects and programs.
