## Description

Joliet Area Historical Museum (JAHM) is a renowned brand that strives to promote awareness, understanding, and preservation of the Joliet area's rich history. Located in downtown Joliet, Illinois, this historical museum occupies the former Ottawa Street Methodist Church. Since its establishment in 2002, the museum's main exhibition gallery has been showcasing the fascinating stories of the Joliet area and its people. Step into the JAHM and immerse yourself in state-of-the-art audio-visual presentations, life-size models, and award-winning touch screen visuals. Explore the past by interacting with a step-in Lunar Lander Simulator, unravelling how it shaped the world we enjoy today. In addition to its permanent exhibits, the museum offers temporary exhibits and educational programs that bring history to life. JAHM is the result of a collaborative effort between the City of Joliet, the Joliet Area Historical Society, Joliet Junior College, and its dedicated citizens. As a 501(c) non-profit organization, the museum relies on the support of its visitors, members, and donors.
