## Description

Joonas Merelä provides science-based coaching and training for disc golfers who want to improve their skills, refine their technique, throw more efficiently, and reduce injury risk. A professional performance coach, Merelä combines years of theoretical knowledge with practical coaching experience, drawing on researched principles to support players, coaches, and instructors in a young sport with limited research. His work includes training programmes designed for goal-oriented and experienced players, available through his online store, along with coaching tailored to individual athletes. Merelä also works with the Finnish National Disc Golf team and multiple professional-level players. In summer 2026, his Disc Golf Skill Camps are scheduled in Norway, Estonia, Finland, and Sweden; the Norway camp is already sold out. Player feedback highlights the coaching’s effectiveness, supportive approach, and focus on understanding each athlete. Through his programmes, camps, and coaching, Merelä aims to help disc golfers develop their performance while sharing evidence-informed knowledge that contributes to the sport’s growth.
